For four days, 6 CCT! kids attended art camp at Side
Street Gallery in Pittsboro. Thanks to a generous grant from
ChathamArts, kids were
able to sculpt and paint a life size version of themselves, complete
with a casted face, hands and feet.
The bodies were made out of chicken wire, then paper mached and
painted. The faces look remarkably like their owners. “Bodies”
went on display during Pittsboro’s First Sunday where passersby
took a double take at the life size sculptures on the sidewalk.
